UnClobbering Romans

the clobber passage i used to fear most… until i finally understood.
I know, I know... many of us believe (and were taught) that the book of Romans was, like, Paul's BOOK OF THEOLOGY. Explicitly articulating everything need you to know about Christian Doctrine!
But, um, no. Not so much.
In order to have any hope at understanding the words in Romans we must get a handle on what this letter was and why Paul wrote.
It might be uncomfortable, a bit of a stretch, to consider that Romans is something different than we thought.
But it's a good stretch, if you'll hang in there.
